Planning Glacier 3000
The cable-car journey begins at Col du Pillon between Les Diablerets and Gstaad. Travellers using public transport must add the bus connection to the valley station to their itinerary. An ordinary Glacier 3000 ticket begins at the cableway unless a transfer is listed.
The main connection runs from Col du Pillon via Cabane to Scex Rouge. The operator gives about 15 minutes for the cableway journey. Allow extra time for boarding and the last descent. Strong wind or technical work may restrict operations.
Peak Walk, Ice Express and Alpine Coaster each have their own operating status. An open main cableway does not mean that every activity is available. Decide whether the cableway and views are the main reason for your visit or whether a particular activity is essential.
Updated August 2026. Check the season, maintenance, weather and live facility status with Glacier 3000 on the day.
