The journey to Titlis begins in Engelberg

Several cableway sections lead from the Titlis valley station in Engelberg to the mountain. The operator gives about 30 minutes for the complete ascent. Allow more time for transfers, access checks and possible queues. The rail ticket from Lucerne to Engelberg is not automatically part of the cable-car ticket.

What the excursion ticket covers

According to the current operator description, the pedestrian ticket covers the return journey to Titlis and access to the Glacier Cave and Cliff Walk when open. The Ice Flyer requires a separate ticket. Package offers may differ, so read the inclusions for the option you select.

Check the current cableway operation

Maintenance and construction at Titlis may result in a different lift from the familiar Rotair or the use of a Boarding Time. On the travel day, check not only whether the site is open but also which sections operate and where a timed slot applies.

Where does the Titlis journey begin?+

The regular excursion starts at the Titlis valley station in Engelberg. Rail travel to Engelberg is included only when the selected product says so explicitly.

Is the Ice Flyer included?+

No. According to the operator, the Ice Flyer must be purchased separately on site, subject to availability.

Does the Titlis Rotair always operate?+

Not necessarily. Maintenance and construction may change which cableway is used. The current operating information is decisive.

Do you only need the Titlis cable-car ticket?
